Engineering Manager

About the role

ENGIE Middle East is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the technical delivery of utility‑scale renewable energy projects across two sites in Saudi Arabia. Reporting to the Construction Director, you will act as the single technical authority throughout design, construction and commissioning phases.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate basic and detailed engineering design reviews in collaboration with the Owner's Engineer, EPC contractors, and O&M teams.
• Review and approve BOP & OEM engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with project specifications, grid codes, safety standards and ENGIE requirements.
• Define and validate system architecture, protection schemes, auxiliary systems and control philosophy.
• Perform system sizing, configuration and redundancy analysis to meet performance and lifecycle targets.
• Support procurement by technically evaluating vendor offers, reviewing specifications and participating in clarifications.
• Coordinate technical interfaces among BOP contractors, OEMs, grid operators, consultants and authorities.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years (120 months) of experience in electrical and grid integration engineering for utility‑scale projects.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑disciplinary engineering teams and act as a technical authority.
• Experience with commissioning, design integration and technical evaluation of vendor offers.
