Engineering Technician

About the role

The Engineering Technician ensures that all hotel facilities, equipment and building systems operate safely and efficiently. Working closely with the Engineering Supervisor, you will carry out preventive and corrective maintenance to provide a comfortable environment for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on hotel equipment and facilities.
• Inspect, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other building systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complete work orders within required timeframes.
• Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house areas to identify maintenance needs.
• Support installation, testing and commissioning of new equipment.
• Maintain accurate records in the hotel’s maintenance management system.
• Ensure tools, equipment and work areas are clean, organized and safe.
• Assist during emergencies and contribute to engineering projects as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or technical/vocational certificate in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of engineering or maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
• Ability to read technical manuals, drawings and maintenance documentation.
• Basic English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and emergency call‑outs.
