Engineering Technician

About the role

We are looking for an Engineering Technician to join the facilities team at a luxury hotel in Saudi Arabia. The role involves responding quickly to guest repair requests and ensuring the smooth operation of all mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions with minimal supervision.
• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning and lubrication of tools, equipment and HVAC systems.
• Visually inspect machinery, identify shut‑off valves and safely operate lockout‑tagout procedures.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and keep accurate shift hand‑over reports.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics and building plans for plumbing, HVAC and mechanical work.
• Execute complex repairs on air‑conditioning, refrigeration, pool heaters, electrical circuits, plumbing fixtures and other hotel equipment while complying with local and national codes.
• Troubleshoot and replace pumps, motors, switches, outlets and other components as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of hands‑on experience in hotel or commercial facilities maintenance.
• Ability to work independently, follow safety procedures and communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Solid knowledge of local building, electrical and mechanical codes.
