ETL Lead – Data Engineering

About the role

The ETL Lead will design, build, and optimise our enterprise data warehouse (EDW) architecture. You will own end‑to‑end data pipelines, ensure data quality, and translate technical solutions into business value for internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain data services, interfaces and real‑time pipelines using modern data‑engineering techniques.
• Lead engineering projects, coordinating with clients and cross‑functional teams.
• Develop, test and document data workflows, schemas, extracts and transformations to guarantee data integrity from source to target.
• Expand the data management strategy by onboarding new internal and external data sources.
• Communicate technical concepts to non‑technical audiences and vice‑versa.
• Maintain up‑to‑date technical documentation and drive adoption of best‑in‑class data‑engineering practices.
• Build optimal ETL infrastructure using SQL and integration technologies.
• Collaborate with data architecture teams to define integration standards and strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5‑8 years of experience in data engineering, preferably within banking or financial services.
• 3‑5 years of experience working on banking and financial products.
• Proven ability to organise complex information and manage senior‑level stakeholder relationships.

Required skills

• Microsoft SSIS, Talend, Informatica (or similar data‑integration tools).
• SQL and relational database expertise.
• Dimensional modelling and data‑warehouse design.
• Data Quality, Master Data Management and Metadata Management techniques.
