Faculty Member – Health Management

About the role

Batterjee Medical College is seeking a qualified Faculty Member to join its Health Management Program. The role involves delivering high-quality academic instruction, supporting student development, and contributing to research and program excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, workshops and interactive sessions on topics such as Healthcare Management, Systems & Policies, Leadership, Quality Management, and Healthcare Planning.
• Apply student-centered, outcome-based teaching methods and use the Blackboard LMS and other digital tools effectively.
• Prepare and administer assessments, assignments and examinations while maintaining accurate academic records.
• Provide academic advising, mentorship and support the development of students’ leadership and analytical skills.
• Participate in research activities, scholarly conferences and contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with academic policies, accreditation standards (e.g., NCAAA) and engage in quality-assurance activities.
• Take part in community outreach and healthcare awareness initiatives aligned with the college mission.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Health Management, Healthcare Administration, Public Health or a related field.
• Experience in healthcare management, hospital administration or academic teaching is preferred.
• Strong understanding of healthcare systems, leadership and quality improvement principles.
• Commitment to academic quality, student-centered teaching and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Blackboard Learning Management System.
