Feasibility Manager
Saudi Gold Refinery · Riyadh
Job description
About the role
Saudi Gold Refinery (SGR), a mining and precious-metals company specializing in gold and precious metals refining, bullion production and value-added services, is looking for a Feasibility Manager in Riyadh. The role leads the economic and technical evaluation of capital projects across downstream operations, validating investment cases for mining expansions, laboratory upgrades and bullion production enhancements through financial modeling and technical analysis. The manager reports directly to the Feasibility Director and helps shape the company's capital allocation strategy.
Key responsibilities
- Develop detailed discounted cash flow models to find the present net value and internal rate of return of proposed projects, and run sensitivity analysis on variables such as metal recovery rates and energy costs.
- Work with process engineers to validate throughput assumptions for fire assay, cupellation and electrolytic refining circuits, and review equipment specifications so CAPEX estimates reflect current market prices.
- Ensure feasibility studies include compliance costs for environmental permits and emissions monitoring, and integrate Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources local-content requirements into workforce cost projections.
- Run weekly working groups with engineering and finance teams, maintain a central database of vendor quotes and historical cost indices, and identify risks such as construction delays, commodity price volatility and regulatory changes.
- Prepare executive presentations, document assumptions and methodologies in reports, and align project evaluations with corporate strategy and Vision 2030 objectives.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Chemical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
- At least 10 years of experience in feasibility studies, project evaluation or corporate development in mining or metals.
- Demonstrated understanding of downstream precious metals processing, including refining, assaying and bullion production.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and coordinating engineering, HSE and commercial inputs.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi industrial regulations, including environmental permitting and local content.
- Fluency in English; preferred: MBA or Financial Engineering, CFA/PMP or SME membership, and proficiency in Whittle or Surpac.
Required skills
- Complex financial modeling in Excel (DCF, NPV, IRR, sensitivity analysis)
- Interpretation of engineering drawings and process flow diagrams
