Field HSE Officer for Remote Exploration Projects

About the role

The Fleet Tahreez JV is looking for a practical, field‑oriented HSE Officer to support geophysical exploration activities across remote locations in Saudi Arabia. The role is primarily field‑based, requiring daily interaction with crews in desert, rocky and mountainous terrain.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain active HSE coverage during ANT, MT/AMT, Gravity, Magnetic and related field activities, identifying unsafe acts and implementing controls.
• Support and review risk assessments, JSA/Method Statements, Take‑5 assessments and Journey Management Plans, confirming access constraints and terrain difficulty.
• Monitor remote‑terrain safety, ensuring appropriate PPE, water, communications and emergency equipment are available.
• Implement heat‑stress controls, monitor hydration, rest and fatigue, and escalate fitness‑for‑work concerns.
• Verify vehicle readiness, recovery equipment and journey management compliance, including IVMS and 4x4 driving risks.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and practical HSE awareness on heat stress, fatigue, manual handling, buddy system and emergency response.
• Support medical emergencies, lost‑person events and vehicle incidents in line with the Emergency Response Plan.
• Report incidents, near‑misses and unsafe conditions promptly and support investigations and corrective‑action tracking.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an HSE Officer or Safety Officer in a field‑based environment, preferably in remote desert, mining, exploration or oil & gas operations.
• Physically capable of frequent outdoor work, remote travel and walking over difficult terrain.
• Fluent English (speaking, reading and writing) for conducting toolbox talks and writing reports.
• Willingness to work at remote project sites across Saudi Arabia, staying in camp during work rotations.
