Field Operator – Energy (Al Khobar, KSA – UAE based)

About the role

The Field Operator will ensure safe and continuous operation of gas and steam turbines, HRSGs, potline rectifiers and related utility services at the Al Khobar power plant, while being based in the UAE. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor or Main Control Room Operator, the role focuses on maintaining plant performance and responding to equipment abnormalities.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor turbines, boilers and associated plant equipment safely and efficiently.
• Record routine parameter readings, report deviations and inform supervisors of any abnormalities.
• Maintain standby equipment readiness for emergency situations.
• Assist with testing and re‑commissioning after maintenance outages.
• Follow emergency procedures, identify hazards and contribute to the reporting system.
• Ensure good housekeeping and adherence to safety standards.
• Provide on‑the‑job training and strive for increased competency.

Required profile

• Higher Secondary School Certificate.
• Minimum 4 years experience in a power station.
• At least 2 years experience as a Desalination Operator (PG7) or equivalent.
• Ability to understand single‑line diagrams and prepare shift reports in English.

Required skills

• Interpretation of single‑line electrical diagrams.
• Basic IT skills for data entry and reporting.
