Field Service Engineer – Power Generation

About the role

You will support maintenance, outage, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair activities for gas turbines, steam turbines, generators and auxiliary systems across power generation projects in Saudi Arabia and international locations. The role offers hands‑on technical experience and the chance to develop leadership capabilities while working closely with field teams, site management, engineering specialists and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, commissioning, repair, assembly and disassembly of gas turbines, steam turbines, generators and auxiliary systems.
• Supervise and coordinate small to medium‑sized field service teams, technicians and subcontractors during outage and maintenance projects.
• Collaborate with Site Leads, Service Engineering teams and customers to ensure safe, efficient and successful project execution.
• Review technical documentation, attend customer meetings, prepare service reports and provide technical recommendations.
• Support outage planning, resource allocation, risk mitigation, spare‑parts and tooling requirements while maintaining quality, safety and EHS compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2‑3 years of experience in field service, power generation, heavy industry or rotating‑equipment environments.
• Basic knowledge of power‑plant operations and turbine/generator auxiliary systems.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication, teamwork and leadership potential.
• Willingness to travel extensively (≈80 %) across Saudi Arabia and internationally and to work demanding outage schedules.
• Familiarity with Siemens Energy standards is an advantage.
