Field Service Site Lead

About the role

The Field Service Site Lead will head a large multidisciplinary team of field service specialists, technicians and supervisors during outage and field execution projects. You will ensure that all work is performed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards while maximizing plant reliability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate outage execution activities, planning and scheduling work to meet safety, efficiency and project scope requirements.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, customers, Operations Management and Service Engineering to deliver successful outcomes and high customer satisfaction.
• Manage site resources, parts logistics, risk mitigation, delay handling and customer communications, including leading meetings and providing regular progress updates.
• Apply advanced technical expertise to troubleshoot complex equipment issues, conduct root‑cause investigations and resolve cross‑functional challenges.
• Provide leadership, mentoring and technical guidance to multidisciplinary field teams while upholding safety, quality and operational excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in power generation or heavy‑industrial environments.
• Proven leadership of large, international field assignments and outage planning.
• Strong knowledge of power plant operations, mechanical commissioning, preventive and corrective maintenance.

Required skills

• Extensive expertise with rotating equipment – gas turbines (SGT5‑4000F, SGT‑8000H, V‑Series), steam turbines, generators, pumps and motors.
• Experience with Siemens advanced gas turbine technologies and non‑OEM equipment.
• Hands‑on skills in machining, fabrication, welding and non‑destructive testing (NDT).
• Proficiency with maintenance management systems such as SAP.
