Field Services Engineer – Early Career Trainee

About the role

GE Vernova is seeking a motivated early‑career professional to join its Field Services team in Saudi Arabia. This 12‑month traineeship offers hands‑on experience in testing, commissioning and supporting power‑system equipment for industrial and utility customers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site, office and factory testing, commissioning and technical support for customer installations.
• Record, analyse and respond to repair and support requests using the company’s software tools.
• Collaborate with factories, repair centres, logistics and customers to minimise request‑closing time and ensure satisfaction.
• Advise customers on upgrades, repairs and technical recommendations based on installed‑base data.
• Prepare technical documentation such as test reports, repair reports and solution briefs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Electromechanical, Instrumentation & Control or a related field.
• Fresh graduate up to two years of experience.
• Legal right to work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia without sponsorship.

Required skills

• Electrical safety awareness and knowledge of relevant standards.
• Understanding of power‑system theory and components (generators, transformers, transmission & distribution lines, substations, protective devices).
• Experience with substation automation and power‑system protection concepts.
• Ability to perform network analysis.
