Finance Director

About the role

The Finance Director will lead the finance function for Visit Red Sea (VRS) within the Shared Services organisation. Reporting directly to senior leadership, this role provides strategic financial guidance, ensures compliance, and drives performance across accounting, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial direction and insights to senior leadership and align financial planning with Visit Red Sea’s long‑term goals.
• Oversee all accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, integrity, timely month‑end and year‑end closes, and compliance with regulations and internal controls.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, develop rolling forecasts, perform variance analysis and build financial models in partnership with department heads.
• Manage the preparation and delivery of accurate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, presenting results, key metrics and recommendations.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team, set performance objectives, conduct reviews and foster a collaborative, high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior finance leadership, preferably within a large shared‑services or tourism‑related organisation.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to advise senior executives and influence strategic decisions.
• Excellent team‑leadership and people‑development skills.
