Finance Manager – Riyadh

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead general accounting activities for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with IFRS, local regulations, and corporate policies. This role also serves as the primary finance contact for Saudi tax authorities, handling VAT, withholding tax, and corporate income tax matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage KSA general accounting, including GL, journal entries, accruals, provisions, balance‑sheet reconciliations, and month‑/quarter‑/year‑end closing.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, local requirements, and Henkel accounting policies.
• Own Saudi tax matters – VAT, withholding tax, corporate income tax – and guarantee timely filings and payments.
• Act as the main finance liaison with ZATCA, handling queries, assessments, audits, and supporting documentation.
• Identify accounting discrepancies, tax exposures, and compliance risks, implementing controls and mitigation measures.
• Support internal and external audits and collaborate with regional/global finance, tax teams, business stakeholders, and external advisors.
• Drive continuous improvement, standardisation, and automation of finance processes, focusing on SAP/ERP workflow optimisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) is an advantage.
• 5‑7 years of progressive finance experience with strong exposure to general accounting and tax.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting principles.
• Hands‑on experience with Saudi Arabian taxation and ZATCA requirements, especially VAT and withholding tax.
• Experience managing tax audits, assessments, and interactions with tax authorities.
• Understanding of financial controls, reconciliations, and closing processes.
• Experience working with SAP or a comparable ERP system.
• Background in a multinational, manufacturing or FMCG environment is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, stakeholder‑management and communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
