Financial Credit Analyst

About the role

Bank of Jordan is looking for a Financial Credit Analyst to support the corporate team in its day-to-day business. The role strengthens credit decision management across business development departments and provides data analysis across credit portfolios.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze transaction data on credit facility applications received by the department.
• Substantiate recommendations used by bank stakeholders to decide on new loans and investments, renewals, amendments and restructuring of existing ones.
• Carry out in-depth analysis of available data to identify, assess and measure risk on all credit decisions.
• Provide decision-makers with accurate numbers, information and analysis for sound credit decisions.
• Review credit information and credit reports, including economic sector conditions, financial solvency, mortgage and guarantor status.
• Prepare detailed borrower credit reports covering credit status, repayment capacity, default risk and relationship value.
• Submit observations to the direct supervisor and share data and reports with relationship managers and the direct manager promptly.
• Contribute to cashflow estimates through reports and data, and inform the supervisor of developments, events and economic reports on market sectors and credit portfolios.
• Support company-related projects and provide data and reports as needed.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Banking and Finance, Statistics or a related discipline.
• At least 1 year of experience in credit or data analysis in banks or related institutions.
• Full knowledge of English.
• Good knowledge of the bank's services, products and policies and procedures.

Required skills

• Use of statistical and mathematical tools, quantitative calculation and knowledge of stress tests, Basel, and credit, market, operational and liquidity risk.
• Competent computer use and handling of application systems.
• Ability to work under pressure, in a team, and to plan and organize.
