Financial Director – Transportation & Logistics

About the role

We are a leading transportation and logistics company seeking a seasoned Financial Director to lead our finance function across diversified operations in Saudi Arabia. The role will shape financial strategy, ensure regulatory compliance, and support growth initiatives such as fleet expansion and M&A.

Key responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning.
• Prepare, review and present consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Oversee cash flow, liquidity and treasury management for all entities.
• Manage relationships with banks, financing institutions and external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with Zakat, VAT and local tax regulations.
• Drive internal control frameworks and coordinate internal/external audits.
• Lead cost‑optimization, working‑capital efficiency and operational‑cost analysis (cost‑per‑kilometer, cost‑per‑trip).
• Support pricing, contract profitability, fuel‑price impact analysis and fleet‑expansion financial modelling.
• Manage CAPEX planning, investment appraisal and support M&A due diligence.
• Develop and mentor the finance team, building succession‑ready talent.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (Master’s/MBA preferred).
• Professional certification: CPA, CMA, CFA or SOCPA.
• Minimum 15 years progressive finance experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Prior experience in transportation, logistics or fleet‑intensive industries strongly preferred.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.

Required skills

• Strong command of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Experience with fleet‑management systems integrated with ERP platforms.
• Advanced financial modelling and Excel proficiency.
• Power BI for reporting and analysis.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS.
• Expertise in Saudi tax, Zakat and VAT regulations.
