First Team Physiologist

About the role

The First Team Physiologist will support Al-Qadsiah Club’s elite football squad by monitoring, analysing and enhancing player fitness and recovery. Using scientific methods and cutting‑edge technology, you will help ensure athletes perform at their peak while minimizing injury risk.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, analyse and interpret GPS, heart‑rate and biometric data to track workload and performance.
• Design position‑specific conditioning programmes aligned with tactical periodisation.
• Develop and adjust recovery protocols, including cryotherapy and hydration strategies, based on readiness scores.
• Conduct screenings to identify injury risks and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with medical staff on rehabilitation and return‑to‑play decisions.
• Work with performance and coaching departments to ensure a unified approach.
• Implement emerging sports‑science technologies and stay current with research.
• Maintain data‑privacy standards and provide accurate reporting, travelling with the team as required.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Physiology, Sports Science or a related field (PhD desirable).
• Proven experience as a physiologist in elite or professional sport.
• Strong background in performance testing, movement screening and conditioning programme design.
• Analytical mindset with ability to turn complex datasets into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities a plus.
