Fleet Incharge – Manage Operations & Driver Performance

About the role

The Fleet Incharge is responsible for overseeing daily fleet operations, ensuring efficient transport order assignment, route optimisation and driver compliance with regulations. This role monitors fuel consumption, maintenance schedules and driver performance to minimise costs and maximise fleet utilisation.

Key responsibilities

• Assign transport orders to drivers based on location, load type and working hours.
• Optimise routes and reduce empty kilometres using Wialon and Geotab platforms.
• Live‑track trucks, resolve breakdowns, checkpoints and delays.
• Ensure driver compliance with TGA working/rest hour regulations.
• Monitor diesel consumption per truck via FLS sensor and generate deviation reports.
• Analyse high fuel consumption causes and coach drivers.
• Schedule preventive maintenance based on mileage and track tyre, oil and filter life.
• Prepare shift rosters, leave schedules and evaluate driver performance monthly.
• Train new drivers on tracking systems, company policy and eco‑driving techniques.
• Verify operating cards, MVPI, insurance and licences; issue transport documents via Naql platform and monitor cargo manifests via Bayan Archive.
• Submit weekly cost, revenue and performance reports to senior management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fleet or transport operations management.
• Strong knowledge of TGA working/rest hour regulations.
• Ability to analyse fuel consumption data and implement corrective actions.
• Experience in driver scheduling, performance evaluation and training.
• Attention to detail for compliance documentation and reporting.
