Food and Beverage Co‑worker

About the role

Join IKEA’s restaurant and bistro team to deliver fast, friendly service to customers. You will prepare and serve food and beverages, keep the service area clean and inviting, and help create a pleasant dining experience that supports IKEA’s vision of a better everyday life.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare hot and cold food items and a variety of beverages (drip coffee, espresso‑based drinks, tea, specialty drinks) following IKEA food preparation standards.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and attractive service area; ensure products are correctly priced and in perfect condition.
• Process all food sales accurately, handle cash opening/closing, and reconcile cash drawers.
• Follow internal and external food‑handling, health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance, cleaning, and ensure the store is ready for service.
• Contribute to IKEA’s culture of diversity and teamwork, and take on additional projects as needed.

Required profile

• Service‑oriented and sales‑driven with a motivation to work in a vibrant retail‑restaurant environment.
• Flexible, open‑minded, curious and eager to learn.
• Previous food‑handling or full‑service restaurant experience is an advantage.
• Open availability, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
• Diploma or higher degree.

Required skills

• Operating ovens, grills, stoves, steam tables, fryers and other electrical kitchen equipment.
• Using knives, slicers and mixers for food preparation.
• Cash handling and reconciliation.
• Food safety and hygiene compliance.
• Beverage preparation (drip coffee, espresso, tea, specialty drinks).
