Forward Deployed Engineer - MLOps

About the role

Systems Limited is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer specialized in MLOps to own the end‑to‑end production lifecycle of machine‑learning models. You will ensure that validated models are reliably deployed, monitored, optimized and maintained at scale across cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and operate CI/CD pipelines for model serving, versioning and automated deployment.
• Implement observability, alerting, SLA management and model‑drift detection in production.
• Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) using IaC and containerization technologies.
• Monitor and optimise cloud costs through FinOps practices and cost‑monitoring tools.
• Lead production incident response, on‑call rotation and post‑mortem analysis.
• Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to create scalable, production‑ready systems.
• Support presales activities and PoCs by demonstrating production readiness.
• Mentor engineering teams on MLOps best practices.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in MLOps, ML platform engineering or related fields.
• Proven track record of owning production ML systems and handling on‑call duties.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical incidents and cost trade‑offs to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively across data science, engineering and business teams.
