FP&A Analyst

About the role

The FP&A Analyst will own the numbers that guide the company’s strategic decisions. Working in a deep‑tech hardware environment, you will translate bills of materials, unit economics, inventory and working capital into actionable financial models.

Key responsibilities

• Own the comprehensive financial model covering revenue, cost of goods, headcount, capital expenditure and cash.
• Build and maintain unit economics per SKU, ensuring accuracy as the bill of materials evolves.
• Run budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis to explain performance gaps.
• Model working capital and inventory for a business that purchases components before invoicing.
• Prepare board and investor reporting materials.
• Provide commercial and engineering teams with analysis to evaluate strategic options.

Required profile

• Three years or more of experience in financial planning & analysis, investment banking, transaction services, or a comparable analytical role.
• Strong financial modelling capabilities.
• Comfort with cost‑of‑goods and inventory analysis, not just recurring revenue models.
• Ability to flag questionable assumptions rather than hide them.
• Relevant qualification (in progress or completed) is a plus.
• Experience in startups where financial models change frequently is beneficial.
