Full Stack Developer – Java Portlets & Spring Boot

About the role

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to design, develop and maintain Java Portlet and Spring Boot applications within an enterprise portal environment. The role involves portal customization, integration with IBM DataPower, API connectivity and database interaction with IBM Db2 and Couchbase, ensuring secure and high‑performing digital services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java Portlets (JSR 286/362) and Spring Boot micro‑services.
• Customize and extend commercial portal platforms such as Liferay DXP, IBM/HCL WebSphere Portal or Oracle WebCenter.
• Integrate services through IBM DataPower Gateway, handling security protocols (OAuth, SAML, LDAP) and protocol transformation.
• Implement RESTful APIs for communication between portlets and backend systems.
• Interact with relational (IBM Db2) and NoSQL (Couchbase) databases, using Spring Data where applicable.
• Collaborate with development, integration and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 6–8 years of hands‑on experience in Java development and enterprise portal technologies.
• Proven experience with Java Portlet specifications (JSR 286 or JSR 362) and Spring Boot.
• Experience configuring IBM DataPower gateways and web service proxies.

• Inter‑Portlet Communication (public render parameters, events).
• IBM Db2, Couchbase, Spring Data JPA/Couchbase.
• IDE: IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, Rational Application Developer.
• JUnit, Mockito, Docker (nice‑to‑have).
