Game Developer – Console Porting

About the role

We are seeking a remote Game Developer specialized in console porting to bring indie titles to PlayStation and Xbox platforms. You will adapt existing games, implement gameplay features, and ensure they meet platform‑specific technical and certification requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Port and adapt indie games for PlayStation and Xbox, meeting performance and certification standards.
• Develop gameplay features, mechanics, and technical improvements alongside core porting tasks.
• Work with GameMaker Studio 2, Unreal Engine, Unity, or similar engines to build, adapt, and troubleshoot projects.
• Write clean, maintainable code and integrate assets, animations, audio, and UI elements.
• Debug, test, and resolve performance and console‑specific issues throughout the porting process.
• Collaborate with designers, artists, and indie partners to deliver polished console builds.
• Document progress and provide regular updates on porting activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience porting or adapting games for PlayStation and/or Xbox, or strong game development background with ability to learn console workflows.
• Hands‑on familiarity with PlayStation consoles; Xbox experience is a plus.
• Active console gamer with knowledge of certification processes (PlayStation Partners, ID@Xbox).
