GCP Infrastructure Expert

About the role

The GCP Infrastructure Expert will design, implement, administer, and continuously optimize Google Cloud Platform environments for Aramco Digital. You will act as the primary technical authority, ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant cloud operations that meet enterprise and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and administer GCP services including IAM, VPC, interconnects, firewalls, service accounts, and resource hierarchies.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations, monitoring, incident response, and overall platform health.
• Implement network, compute, storage, and security best practices across all GCP workloads.
• Collaborate with architects to design secure, scalable, and cost‑optimized solutions.
• Lead deployments of Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Cloud Storage and related services.
• Ensure compliance with internal and industry‑specific security standards.
• Develop automation using Terraform, Deployment Manager, or CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor resource utilization and drive cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Serve as the L3 escalation point for GCP issues and perform root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8–12 years of experience managing enterprise cloud environments, with at least 5 years focused on GCP administration.
• Professional certifications preferred: Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud Security Engineer, Professional Cloud Network Engineer, Terraform Associate.
