General Physician – Internal Medicine

About the role

The General Physician – Internal Medicine will join the multidisciplinary team at Fakeeh Care, delivering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care. The role involves evaluating patients, documenting findings in the EMR, and coordinating with specialists to ensure appropriate management.

Key responsibilities

• Interview and evaluate patients, taking detailed medical, medication, socioeconomic, psychological and functional histories.
• Perform physical examinations and document findings and clinical information in the patient’s medical record.
• Notify the attending physician of admitted in‑patients, discuss clinical condition, and clarify required work‑up and management plan.
• Conduct daily rounds on assigned wards, recording assessments, plans and progress notes.
• Serve as first on‑call according to departmental rota and respond promptly to patient complaints.
• Document clinical justification for advanced diagnostic tests (CT, MRI, US) and ensure correct ICD coding.
• Complete handover at shift end, detailing pending diagnostic and therapeutic tasks.
• Coordinate care among nurses, consultants, dietitians, social workers, laboratory, radiology and insurance doctors.
• Accurately complete required forms, including medical transfer forms and discharge summaries.
• Participate in departmental meetings, quality and patient‑safety activities, and continuous medical education.

Required profile

• Physician able to conduct comprehensive patient assessments, documentation and coordination of care in line with Fakeeh Care policies.
• Willingness to participate in on‑call duties, handovers and multidisciplinary teamwork.
• Commitment to ongoing medical education and adherence to quality and safety standards.
