GIS I&C Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic GIS I&C Engineer to join our team. The role involves installing, commissioning and maintaining high‑voltage GIS systems worldwide for PGHV, while ensuring compliance with safety, quality and project deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out installation and maintenance work independently, adhering to installation requirements and accident‑prevention measures.
• Produce red‑mark drawings and documentation for any changes required during installation.
• Coordinate with sub‑supplier superintendents, PG Project Manager and material control teams to ensure schedule compliance and material integrity.
• Inspect arriving material, issue non‑conformance reports and supervise final installation, commissioning tests and loop‑check activities.
• Participate in site meetings, ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, and uphold Hitachi Energy’s safety and integrity values.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience with GIS, preferably with SF6 gas‑handling and PGHV transmission/sub‑transmission equipment.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
