GIS Projects Project Manager

About the role

HITACHI ENERGY LTD is looking for a Project Manager in Dammam to lead the execution of medium-size to large and moderately complex GIS projects. The role ensures that all activities follow company policy, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety and environment requirements, financial targets and schedule commitments, and sets up the project execution approach, handover, planning and monitoring of internal and external resources.

Key responsibilities

• Execute projects according to contract scope, schedule and conditions, reviewing sales contracts for risks to margin and performance
• Plan, monitor and control scope, time and cost, including project handover and execution planning
• Develop project schedules and freeze them with stakeholders, and maintain the master document list
• Run project processes in SAP and keep documentation in line with ISO and internal requirements
• Coordinate with Engineering and customers for drawing and document approvals, and act as single point of contact and escalation point for customers
• Prepare project progress reports, manage change requests and seek approvals for time extensions and additional costs
• Proactively identify risks and prepare a project-specific risks and opportunities management plan
• Coordinate FAT, invoicing, dispatch, installation, testing, commissioning, payment collection, As-built drawings, PAC and FAC, and project closure
• Report progress to internal stakeholders and comply with external and internal regulations

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in electrical engineering preferred
• 7 to 12 years of experience executing GIS, substation or similar high-voltage equipment design, supply and installation projects
• Experience with Saudi Arabia and Middle East customers preferred
• Strong leadership skills and ability to influence stakeholders
• Ability to work under pressure to meet time, cost and quality targets
• Fluent spoken and written English
