Government Relations Officer – GRO (Saudi National)

About the role

The Government Relations Officer (GRO) will act as the primary liaison between Faena Wadi Safar and Saudi governmental bodies. Reporting to senior management, the GRO ensures full regulatory compliance, protects the hotel’s legal standing, and enables the team to focus on delivering world‑class hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all government transactions, including commercial registration, municipal licences, and hotel operating permits.
• Maintain and renew all company licences, certificates and official documents without exception.
• Process and renew work visas, Iqamas, and exit/re‑entry permits for expatriate staff, and handle all Iqama‑related transactions.
• Ensure compliance with Nitaqat (Saudisation) requirements and monitor the hotel’s Qiwa classification.
• Operate and maintain hotel accounts on government platforms such as Qiwa, Absher, Muqeem, GOSI, Mudad and Aqar, submitting mandatory reports on schedule.
• Support the pre‑opening team by securing all required approvals, clearances and permits.
• Serve as the main point of contact for employee government‑related inquiries and maintain confidential records.

Required profile

• Saudi national with deep understanding of Saudi regulatory environment.
• Proven experience in government licensing, visa processing and compliance within the hospitality sector.
• Strong attention to detail, discretion and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with ministries, municipal bodies and internal teams.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Qiwa, Absher, Muqeem, GOSI, Mudad and Aqar platforms.
• Expertise in Saudi government licensing procedures.
• Visa and Iqama processing.
• Knowledge of Nitaqat (Saudisation) regulations.
