Graduate Assistant – Industrial & Systems Engineering

About the role

The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals is seeking Saudi nationals with a bachelor’s degree to join as a Graduate Assistant. This full‑time position supports both teaching and research activities within the department.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions (35‑40 hours per week).
• Assist faculty with research projects, data collection, and analysis.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
• Perform administrative duties related to course coordination and departmental activities.
• Undertake any additional academic tasks assigned by the department.

Required profile

• Saudi national with an earned bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related field from a reputable university.
• Strong academic record (very good grades) in the bachelor program.
• Equivalency certificate required for degrees obtained outside the Kingdom.
• Proficiency in English, as the medium of instruction at KFUPM is English.
