Group Chief Procurement Officer

About the role

A diversified industrial conglomerate operating in manufacturing, energy, construction and logistics, with operations across Saudi Arabia and regional subsidiaries, is appointing a Group Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) based in Dammam. The group wants to centralize and professionalize its sourcing, vendor management and supply chain strategy under one procurement leadership. The role is full-time and on-site.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a group procurement strategy aligned with board cost control, operational efficiency and localization (IKTVA) objectives.
• Oversee procurement across industrial equipment, raw materials, facility operations, outsourced services and strategic CAPEX.
• Lead standardization of procurement policies, ERP integration, supplier scorecards and spend control across subsidiaries.
• Negotiate high-value, long-term supplier contracts, focusing on lifecycle value, ESG alignment and contract risk mitigation.
• Partner with legal, operations and finance on compliance, dispute management and supplier audits.
• Build and manage a procurement team, and oversee strategic sourcing events, international supplier onboarding and e-procurement platform implementation.

Required profile

• 15+ years of senior procurement and supply chain experience in industrial, construction or infrastructure organizations; 5+ years at a group or C-level.
• Proven track record managing complex supplier ecosystems and leading procurement transformation programs.
• Deep knowledge of Saudi procurement law, localization programs and VAT/tax considerations.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or Supply Chain Management; MBA or CIPS preferred.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a distinct advantage.
