Head of Controllership and Treasury

About the role

Tahreez is seeking a senior finance leader to head its Controllership and Treasury functions in Riyadh. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and effective cash and liquidity management while maintaining full compliance with Saudi regulatory and tax requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual close cycles, guaranteeing IFRS‑compliant financial statements.
• Design, implement and monitor internal controls; manage relationships with external auditors and regulators.
• Oversee end‑to‑end accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll (GOSI/WPS), general ledger, fixed assets and revenue recognition.
• Ensure timely statutory filings such as VAT and Zakat/corporate tax with ZATCA.
• Manage cash‑flow forecasting, working capital, liquidity across all entities and accounts.
• Negotiate banking facilities, credit lines and terms with local and regional banks.
• Handle FX exposure, hedging strategies and inter‑company funding.
• Maintain compliance with SAMA regulations and banking covenants.
• Collaborate with FP&A on budgeting, planning and decision support.
• Build, mentor and develop a high‑performing accounting and treasury team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• CPA, SOCPA, ACCA or CTP preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting/treasury experience, including 3–5 years in a senior controllership leadership role.
• Fluency in English; Arabic required.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Saudi Zakat/Tax regulations.
• Familiarity with SAMA guidelines.
• Experience with treasury management systems and ERP enhancements.
• Banking negotiations, cash pooling and FX risk management.
• Understanding of GOSI, WPS and Nitaqat compliance.
