Head of Controlling (Factory Finance Controller)

About the role

To support the strategic ramp‑up of the GIS factory in Dammam and ensure successful execution of bulk tender and open‑market orders, Siemens Energy is creating the Head of Controlling (Factory Finance Controller) position. The role drives financial transparency, end‑to‑end manufacturing cost optimisation and strong governance within the Switchgears Asia business unit.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end product manufacturing cost controlling, variance analysis and cost allocation for the GIS factory.
• Establish and monitor key manufacturing performance indicators (KPIs) to improve operational efficiency and cost optimisation.
• Manage product costing, inventory valuation and scrap/obsolescence controls within the factory environment.
• Drive the annual budgeting process and monthly financial forecasting cycles to enhance accuracy of financial steering.
• Analyse financial performance against targets and provide actionable insights and corrective recommendations to plant management.
• Strengthen, execute and monitor internal financial controls on a monthly basis in strict compliance with IFRS and corporate guidelines.
• Lead audit preparations and coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure clean compliance records for factory operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• 8‑10 years of professional experience in financial controlling with a strong focus on factory or manufacturing environments.
• Proven leadership experience managing finance teams and driving internal controls in compliance with IFRS.
• Professional certifications such as CMA, CPA or CA (including ACCA).
• Expertise in industrial cost accounting, product costing, valuation, variance analysis and financial modelling.
• Strong understanding of IFRS standards, internal controls, SOX compliance and financial risk management.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, stakeholder management, business partnering and talent development.
