Head of Governance, Risk & Compliance

About the role

The Head of Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) will lead the development and execution of the organisation's GRC strategy. Reporting directly to the CEO, this senior leader ensures that the company meets all regulatory requirements, mitigates enterprise risks, and upholds strong governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain the overall GRC framework, policies and procedures.
• Identify, assess and monitor risks across all business units, delivering risk assessments and mitigation plans.
• Ensure continuous compliance with applicable laws, regulations and internal policies.
• Lead internal audit activities, produce risk reports and advise the Board on risk exposure.
• Establish effective internal controls and governance structures.
• Develop and deliver training programs on risk, compliance and governance topics.
• Oversee regulatory reporting and act as the primary liaison with regulators and external auditors.
• Promote a culture of accountability, transparency and ethical business practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in risk management, compliance, internal audit or GRC leadership.
• Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements.
• Proven leadership, strategic thinking and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Professional certifications such as CRMA, CIA, CISA or equivalent are preferred.
