Head of HR – Workmen (Solar EPC Projects)

About the role

The Head of HR – Workmen will lead the human resources function for labour forces engaged in solar EPC projects across the GCC. The role focuses on recruitment, welfare, compliance, payroll and performance management to ensure a productive and safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead recruitment and onboarding of workmen for multiple project sites, coordinating with site managers to meet labour needs.
• Act as primary liaison for workmen, handling queries, welfare initiatives, conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
• Ensure compliance with local labour laws, maintain accurate records of contracts, attendance, leave and wages.
• Oversee payroll processing, benefits administration and coordination with finance for deductions and incentives.
• Identify skill gaps, organise safety and technical training, and drive continuous learning.
• Develop and implement performance management systems, recognition programs and safety monitoring.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 15+ years of HR experience, with at least 8 years leading workmen or labour management in construction/EPC, preferably renewable energy.
• Strong knowledge of GCC labour regulations and HR best practices.
• Proven ability to manage large, multi‑site workforces and drive operational excellence.
