Head of Infrastructure & Data Platform

About the role

Soar, a SAMA‑regulated Saudi home‑finance platform, is seeking a hands‑on leader to own its entire infrastructure, DevOps operations and Snowflake‑based data platform. Reporting to the CTO, you will lead DevOps and data engineering teams across Cairo and Riyadh.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage cloud architecture on GCP (KSA‑resident), networking, zero‑trust access and cost optimisation.
• Define and meet SLOs for uptime, latency and recovery; run incident response, on‑call duties and blameless post‑mortems.
• Ensure compliance with SAMA CSF, data‑residency and audit requirements in partnership with Security and GRC.
• Own end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (Terraform), Kubernetes, Cloud Run and secrets management.
• Build observability (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting) to reduce noise and detect issues early.
• Manage Snowflake warehouse, data ingestion pipelines, modelling, orchestration and access controls, delivering governed data for finance, risk and regulatory reporting.
• Hire, develop and lead DevOps and data engineers, set roadmap, standards and budgets.

Required profile

• 10+ years in infrastructure, SRE or DevOps, with at least 3 years leading teams.
• Hands‑on experience with GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform and modern CI/CD practices.
• Proven track record of production reliability for high‑availability, customer‑facing platforms.
• Experience running Snowflake or comparable cloud data warehouses and data pipeline tooling.
• Background in a regulated fintech, banking or payments environment.
