Head of Network (Remote Network) Unit

About the role

The Head of Network (Remote Network) Unit will lead the secure and effective operation of Riyad Bank's WAN infrastructure across branches and offices. This role ensures continuous monitoring, problem solving, upgrades and alignment with business needs to deliver high performance and availability.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and enforce departmental policies, processes and procedures for controlled network operations.
• Manage day‑to‑day network operations, ensuring compliance with standards and proactive monitoring.
• Guide analysis of business growth and current BT infrastructure to define network requirements and development plans.
• Direct network engineers and technicians in the implementation of projects, upgrades and configuration changes.
• Oversee WAN technologies such as IPVPN, data link and SIP voice, ensuring 24/7 connectivity for all users.
• Review and approve change requests, integrate network management systems and maintain high service quality.
• Identify continuous‑improvement opportunities, cost‑reduction measures and productivity enhancements.
• Prepare accurate departmental reports and manage the WAN technology budget, including procurement and licensing.
• Lead change initiatives related to collaboration technology adoption and ensure smooth transitions.
• Collaborate with vendors, negotiate contracts and stay updated on platform developments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering or equivalent.
• 8‑10 years of relevant experience, preferably in banking network environments.
• Proven project‑management expertise and ability to lead large‑scale network initiatives.
• Strong understanding of banking operations, BT systems and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated commitment to developing Saudi national talent within the team.
