Health & Safety Lead Expert

About the role

The Health & Safety Lead Expert will act as the senior authority for developing and maintaining occupational health and safety frameworks across all ZATCA facilities. This role combines strategic policy creation with hands‑on operational planning to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with local and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Research and benchmark the latest health & safety best practices and market trends to upgrade ZATCA standards.
• Develop general H&S guidelines based on local and international standards, consolidating fire‑protection practices across facilities.
• Identify resource needs, assess and select external vendors, and monitor their performance against set standards.
• Design and deliver training programs, seminars and awareness sessions tailored to all employee categories.
• Conduct field studies, incident investigations and risk assessments to create prevention plans and safety‑drill schedules.
• Lead safety risk‑management improvement projects and ensure alignment with best‑practice trends.
• Support junior team members, provide escalation handling and ensure consistent application of policies and SOPs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety (required); Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in health, safety and risk management.
• Proven ability to develop policies, manage vendors and lead training initiatives.
