Helicopter Pilot IP/FCF - MH-60R

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Helicopter Pilot to perform Instructional Pilot (IP) and Functional Check Flight (FCF) missions on the MH‑60R platform. The role involves delivering pilot training, validating aircraft after maintenance or modification, and ensuring flight‑operations compliance with Navy standards.

Key responsibilities

• Pilot and navigate the MH‑60R helicopter for instructional and test flights.
• Provide IP training and maintain pilot proficiency.
• Assist RSNF‑designated FCF pilots with pre‑flight briefings, flight checks, post‑flight documentation, and in‑flight troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with maintenance contractors to verify repairs through ground and flight checks.
• Manage the approved MH‑60R Flight Operations Program in accordance with Navy manuals, directives and SOPs.

Required profile

• Current Helicopter Aircraft Commander (HAC) designation.
• Prior experience as an MH‑60R Instructor Pilot and Functional Check Flight pilot.
• Minimum 550 total flight hours, including 50 HAC hours in the MH‑60R and 100 hours of MH‑60R FCF/maintenance test.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship.
• Pass an aeronautical/flight physical and meet drug‑free workplace requirements.
