Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager will lead the housekeeping department of an Accor‑affiliated hotel, ensuring high standards of cleanliness across guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces. This role combines operational oversight with cost‑control responsibilities to deliver a memorable guest experience while maintaining profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the housekeeping team, guaranteeing compliance with hotel and brand cleanliness standards.
• Inspect rooms and public areas to verify quality and guest comfort, addressing any deviations promptly.
• Monitor room‑cleaning productivity and align performance with targets set by the General Manager.
• Oversee laundry operations, maintain linen inventory, and investigate any stock losses.
• Handle guest laundry and lost‑property procedures in line with hotel policy.
• Coordinate with Front Office and Maintenance to ensure room readiness, especially for VIP guests and special requests.
• Secure keys, storerooms and guest bedrooms, and manage external contractors for deep‑cleaning tasks.
• Prepare weekly staffing schedules, track attendance and control labour costs.
• Maintain accurate inventories of supplies, linens and guest amenities to prevent pilferage.

Required profile

• Minimum 60 months (5 years) of experience in housekeeping management.
• Proven ability to lead large teams in a hotel environment.
• Strong organizational and cost‑control skills.
