HSE Manager (Arabic Speaker) - Mega Project

About the role

KEO International Consultants, an AEP/PMCM firm recognised as one of the top international design firms, is looking for an Arabic-speaking HSE Manager to join its team in Saudi Arabia. The manager maintains the effective operation of KEO's Safety Management System on a mega project and advises KEO staff and contractors on health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure effective implementation of the KEO Safety Management System on the project
• Build working relationships with the client, the project team and contractors, promoting and advising on HSE issues
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HSE best practices and standards
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the SMS and recommend revisions to the Regional H&S Manager
• Deliver HSE training based on needs assessment and the training programme for project employees
• Monitor and report on contractor HSE standards and maintain project statistics
• Ensure prompt incident reporting and investigation, including root cause analysis and prevention recommendations
• Review and analyse incident data and KPIs monthly
• Carry out periodic inspections and review contractor H&S documentation for compliance
• Track closure of H&S violation and inspection reports issued to contractors
• Manage and assign duties for KEO Safety Officers
• Chair project H&S meetings and attend construction progress meetings

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of career experience
• Bachelor of Science in Health, Safety & Environment
• Arabic speaking
• NEBOSH Chartered status (or equivalent) and project experience on mixed-use projects
