HSE Officer

About the role

The HSE Officer will ensure a safe and healthy working environment across the company's projects by implementing and monitoring occupational health and safety policies, identifying hazards, and verifying compliance with regulatory, company, and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and verify compliance with the company’s occupational health and safety policies, systems, and procedures across all work locations.
• Participate in the preparation, review, and approval of project‑specific HSE plans, risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses, method statements, and lifting plans.
• Conduct daily and periodic site inspections, document observations, and monitor corrective actions to closure.
• Monitor the Permit‑to‑Work system and ensure all HSE requirements are satisfied before and during work activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Membership in the Saudi Council of Engineers.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Valid First Aid and Firefighting certificates.
• Proficiency in technical English (written and spoken) and Microsoft Office applications.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of Saudi occupational health and safety laws, regulations and construction‑sector HSE requirements.
• Ability to identify hazards, conduct risk assessments and establish appropriate control measures.
• Experience reviewing work permits, Job Safety Analyses, method statements and lifting plans.
• Capability to conduct inspections, audits, incident investigations and root‑cause analysis.
• Strong presentation, training and communication skills for diverse workforces.
