Human Resources Manager I

About the role

As a Human Resources Manager I, you will be part of the property HR support team, working with HR staff to manage daily HR operations including recruitment, total compensation, and training and development. The role focuses on delivering HR services that meet employee needs, support business success, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the recruitment and hiring process, including interviewing, coordinating with external sources, attending job fairs, and ensuring diverse candidate pools.
• Administer employee benefits and unemployment claims, audit reports, and represent the property in unemployment hearings.
• Support employee development through orientation programs, cross‑training, and ongoing training initiatives.
• Maintain employee relations by facilitating communication, handling progressive discipline, and addressing employee concerns.
• Ensure legal and compliance practices such as proper employee file maintenance, privacy compliance, safety policy communication, workers’ compensation management, and participation in safety committees.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least three years of experience in human resources, management operations, or a related field.
• Or an associate degree (or higher) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related major with at least one year of relevant experience.
