HVAC Technician (Secret Clearance) – PSAB ESS

About the role

The HVAC Technician will support the 378 ECES engineering services at Prince Sultan Air Base, providing asset visibility, condition assessments and sustainment planning for mechanical and HVAC systems under the AFCAP V Program.

Key responsibilities

• Perform HVAC system condition assessments and inventory validation using SMS BUILDER.
• Support maintenance‑based assessments during preventive‑maintenance (PM) cycles and document updates per work closeout rules.
• Identify and correct inventory or assessment discrepancies within required timelines.
• Provide system‑level recommendations to Sub‑AMP/AMP leadership for prioritization and investment planning.
• Participate in Sub‑AMP working groups to develop and balance PM plans and corrective‑maintenance strategies.
• Support data‑quality standards and assist with quarterly reviews of shop data entry quality and timeliness.
• Coordinate with Operations Flight shops on work‑task grouping and deconfliction for WRRB submissions.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen with a valid driver’s license, passport (13 months validity, 6 blank visa pages) and active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Fluent in English (read, write, speak, understand).
• Air Force minimum 5‑level (or equivalent) with 5+ years experience in structures trade.
• Completed AFIT courses: WENG 200, WENG 440, WMGT 231, WMGT 417.
• Proven experience executing inspections/assessments and documenting findings accurately.
• Ability to obtain/maintain access for role‑based SMS activities (assessor/read‑only as assigned).
