Independent Member – Impartiality Committee

About the role

Ecoryx’s Impartiality Committee provides independent oversight of impartiality, conflicts of interest, and commercial pressure across the organisation. The Committee challenges senior leadership, reviews systemic risks, monitors corrective actions and escalates material concerns when required. Members do not deliver client assignments or approve individual validation opinions. The appointment is paid, involves four scheduled meetings per year with limited preparation, and may include occasional urgent consultations. Candidates from Saudi Arabia, the GCC or internationally are welcome.

Key responsibilities

• Provide independent oversight of impartiality, conflicts of interest and commercial pressure.
• Challenge senior leadership and review systemic risks affecting the business.
• Monitor corrective actions and escalate material concerns as needed.
• Attend four scheduled committee meetings per year and prepare brief inputs.
• Offer occasional consultation on urgent matters while maintaining independence.

Required profile

• Strong professional standing and independent judgement.
• Confidence to challenge senior leadership and raise concerns.
• No material conflict involving Ecoryx, its clients, partners or validation activities.
• Open to members based in Saudi Arabia, the GCC or internationally.
• Willingness to disclose any potentially relevant relationships or conflicts.
