Information Technology Support Technician

About the role

The IT Support Technician will work closely with business users, fellow technicians and engineering teams to implement, maintain and support critical IT infrastructure, while delivering day‑to‑day technical assistance across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line support for all IT equipment and infrastructure, ensuring performance meets departmental KPIs and SLAs.
• Participate in site‑wide projects, execute change‑management requests (including out‑of‑hours work), and perform cabling tasks after training.
• Install, maintain and support laptops, telecoms equipment, printers, scanners, thin clients, workstations and imaging workstations.
• Manage asset inventory, conduct audits, and handle Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) processes with suppliers.

Required profile

• At least two years of technical IT experience, preferably in an operational environment.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and a methodical, analytical problem‑solving approach.

Required skills

• MS Windows system support.
• Linux/Unix system support.
• Hardware troubleshooting and maintenance (laptops, printers, scanners, thin clients).
• Imaging and deployment of workstations and laptops.
• Cabling installation (after training).
