Insulation Fitter

About the role

The Insulation Fitter will work on SATORP plant equipment, ensuring that hot and cold insulation is applied, maintained and repaired to the highest safety and quality standards. This hands‑on position supports the continuous operation of critical mechanical systems in an oil‑and‑gas environment.

Key responsibilities

• Apply, remove and repair insulation on pipes, ductwork and other mechanical equipment.
• Determine the type and quantity of insulation required based on location, surface shape and equipment use.
• Install protective sheet‑metal enclosures around insulated pipes to guard against weather and physical damage.
• Prepare surfaces for insulation by brushing and applying adhesives.
• Select appropriate insulation materials such as fiberglass, Styrofoam or cork according to thermal performance needs.
• Follow HSE rules, handle hazardous plant materials safely and use personal protective equipment correctly.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in oil‑and‑gas maintenance or related industrial insulation work.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong awareness of health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Ability to work safely with hazardous materials and PPE.
