Internal Audit Director (IPO Readiness)

About the role

The Internal Audit Director will lead the internal audit function for a detergent manufacturing business and drive the IPO‑readiness audit workstreams. This senior position provides independent assurance over financial, operational and compliance controls while ensuring the organization meets Capital Market Authority (CMA) and Tadawul listing requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute risk‑based internal audits across manufacturing, procurement, finance, sales and supply‑chain functions.
• Evaluate design and operating effectiveness of internal controls, identify gaps and produce actionable audit reports.
• Lead the Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) readiness project, including control documentation, walkthroughs and remediation.
• Align governance structures, policies and controls with CMA Corporate Governance Regulations and Tadawul listing rules.
• Coordinate with external auditors, IPO advisors, legal counsel and investment banks on due‑diligence and audit‑readiness requests.
• Contribute to the enterprise risk management framework and assess compliance with SASO, SFDA, Zakat/tax, labor law and environmental/HSE regulations.
• Recommend and embed process improvements across financial close, procure‑to‑pay, order‑to‑cash and inventory/production cycles.
• Present audit findings, ICFR status and risk updates to senior management and the Audit Committee.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional certification (CIA preferred; CPA, CA, ACCA acceptable) – certifications in risk management (CRMA) or IT audit (CISA) are a plus.
• 8–12 years of internal/external audit experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Hands‑on experience supporting an IPO process, specifically ICFR readiness and CMA/Tadawul compliance.
• Experience with a Big 4 or top‑tier audit firm, or in‑house audit within a manufacturing or industrial group.
