Internal Auditor

About the role

The Internal Auditor will update and monitor the group's risk control matrix, design internal audit programs based on a risk‑based annual audit plan, and perform substantive tests and analytical procedures to meet audit objectives. The role also ensures regular follow‑up on outstanding observations and compliance with Institute of Internal Auditors global standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive audits of financial records, operational processes, and internal controls to identify risks and improvement areas.
• Prepare detailed audit reports with recommendations and present findings to management and stakeholders.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of existing internal controls and suggest enhancements.
• Collaborate with department heads to tailor audit approaches to specific needs.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance.
• Assist in developing and implementing internal audit policies and procedures aligned with company goals.
• Perform risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and prioritize audit activities.
• Provide guidance and training to staff on internal control practices and compliance requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
• Support the corporate audit department in achieving its strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification highly advantageous.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting and auditing standards and experience with audit software and data analytics tools.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to develop practical solutions.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to convey audit findings to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
