Investment Banking Intern

About the role

Catalyst Partners is seeking a full‑time Investment Banking Intern for its Riyadh office. The position is hybrid, offering a mix of on‑site collaboration and remote work. You will support deal teams across private equity and leasing activities, gaining hands‑on exposure to transaction execution and portfolio monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market and industry research and prepare pitch books.
• Assist in financial and valuation analyses for potential transactions.
• Build and update financial models, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash‑flow projections.
• Support due‑diligence processes by gathering data, reviewing documents, and summarising findings.
• Compile data and documentation for client presentations and internal reports.
• Collaborate with investment professionals on deal execution, portfolio monitoring, and investment committee materials.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Solid understanding of finance, corporate finance concepts, and valuation methods.
• Pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting or a related field.
• Professionalism, integrity, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Knowledge of the Middle East market and Arabic language skills are a plus but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
• Financial modeling skills, including building and interpreting valuation models.
