IT Automation & Platform Engineer

About the role

This senior position is fully remote and focuses on transforming internal IT into a scalable, automated, and developer‑friendly platform. You will design, build, and operate a business‑systems ecosystem that connects SaaS applications, cloud infrastructure, identity services, and collaboration tools.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, administer, and continuously improve integrations across platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, CRM, billing, HR, and engineering tools.
• Design reliable data‑synchronisation workflows and event‑driven processes across multiple SaaS services.
• Develop automation tooling, internal CLI utilities, dashboards, bots, and ChatOps integrations using Python, Go, Bash, or comparable languages.
• Create and maintain API‑driven integrations using REST, GraphQL, OAuth, webhooks, and SDKs.
• Automate CRM workflows, entitlement provisioning, onboarding/off‑boarding, and access‑management processes.
• Build a self‑service “golden path” for employees, including identity‑provisioning and developer‑friendly APIs.
• Identify and implement AI‑assisted solutions for support, ticket triage, and operational data analysis.
• Serve as senior escalation point for IT support, performing root‑cause analysis and ensuring a people‑first approach.
• Operate and optimise cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP, and manage endpoint security, MDM, and password‑management solutions.
• Administer identity and access processes such as SSO, SAML, and SCIM.

Required profile

• Senior‑level engineer with a strong bias toward code‑first automation.
• Self‑motivated, autonomous, and comfortable working remotely.
• People‑focused mindset with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Experience designing and operating large‑scale SaaS integrations and cloud environments.
