IT Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive IT Engineer to design, implement, maintain and support our organization’s IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will ensure stability, integrity and efficient operation of the systems that underpin core business functions.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain hardware, software, networks and servers.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and minimise downtime.
• Manage network security, firewalls and data protection mechanisms.
• Provide technical support to end‑users and resolve IT‑related incidents promptly.
• Maintain system documentation, policies and procedures.
• Perform regular backups and ensure disaster‑recovery plans are operational.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for procurement and services.
• Apply system upgrades, patches and introduce new technologies as needed.
• Ensure compliance with IT standards, policies and security regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience as an IT Engineer or in a comparable role.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts such as LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP.
• Experience with Windows, Linux or macOS operating systems.
• Familiarity with virtualization, cloud services and cybersecurity best practices.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, MCSE, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and teamwork abilities.
